You will learn...

  • How college recruiting actually works.
  • Various recruiting timelines and timetables.
  • Exactly what college coaches are looking for by division level, position and academics.
  • How to talk to college coaches, go on visits to campus and generate eventual offers to play.
  • Discuss the in's and out's of financial aid, merit, and scholarship money situations across division levels.
  • How to leverage Twitter to build your recruiting profile without resorting to expensive services like offer flimsy ROI.
  • How the transfer portal works for undergraduate, graduate and international players.

Topics:

🗣Exactly What To Say To College Coaches - Talking to big people is a skill many recruits are not equipped to do in HS. I will show you some best practices, ideas and scripts that can help you never be at a loss for words when college coaches talk to you.

#Recruiting By The Numbers - Understand the realities of recruiting by the numbers and knowing the odds of what you are about to fully get your family into. Only 7% of any HSFB players play any college football. For those looking to the Ivy or D1 level the odds are even smaller. Yet, within the odds, there is a pathway forward. I'll show you.

🎓Academic Realities of Recruiting - All things being equal, the nod usually goes to the recruit with the better grades, especially the higher the academic institution you are looking at. We'll discuss exactly what grades, SAT/ACT, and transcripts should look like for various schools at various division levels.

🔄How To Make Recruiting Predictable in an Unpredictable Climate - There is nothing you can do to guarantee that a school says yes to you, but there are definitely things you can do to make it more or less likely to attain a particular outcome.

✅Defining Success In Your Recruiting - Players think about the next 4 minutes, programs think about the next 4 years but parents generally think about the next 4 decades. Navigating this difference in how success is defined between players, parents and programs is crucial to maintaining your sanity, financially, mentally and emotionally.

🏆Leveraging Small Wins - When a coach finally has you visit or offers you, how can you tastefully leverage this interest from one school into interest from other schools that might be on the fence?

📆Staying Organized - Learn from the best practices of families and players who managed to excel during their own recruiting journeys.

🏈How To Get Invited To Junior Days - What are Junior Days, why are they important and how do you get invited to them? More importantly, how can you leverage these to create more Junior Day visits from other schools?

📲Leveraging Twitter To Sell Yourself - Twitter is where college football lives. Understanding its in's and out's is mission critical to any successful recruiting journey in 2023. I have never worked with a recruit who wasn't Twitter savvy, if only by necessity.

😔Self - Worth & Recruiting - Recruiting is immensely stressful. Recruits who can't delineate between their worth as a person and their worth as an athlete will struggle more than others throughout a highly ambiguous process. We'll discuss some concepts, models and best practices to deploy to make sure this doesn't happen.

🔀The Transfer Portal & Reality - Transferring is one single click of a button but it is not a golden ticket. You will lose credits when transferring, you may not find a new team or the one you do isn't what you thought it'd be. We'll discuss Transfer Portal best practices, ideas and advice across a wide array of scenarios.

The Guest Classes

Every month you can expect 1-2 live classes from guest speakers who will teach you a relevant topic based on their first hand experience. The lineup is subject to change but these can be current/former college coaches, players and families discussing something related to recruiting. You can join as many of these free of charge once you're in the community.

Current Lineup

  • Junior Days - Instructor TBA
  • Managing Your Kid's Recruiting - Instructor TBA

And more to come.
